Pocklington Canal Amenity Society

Contributions welcomed

Our magazine is named Double Nine because the canal is about nine miles long and has nine locks.

We aim to publish three issues of Double Nine each year. This of course depends on the material available to produce a magazine!

Have you something to say in relation to the Pocklington Canal? We aim to cater for all tastes, not just boating. Maybe an article on wildlife, walking or angling? You do not even have to be a member of PCAS (although we would welcome you!) Have a go and let’s try to get more variety in our issues. If you would like to write an article or have something to say, please contact the editor, Malcolm Slater – see contacts page.

The magazine is sent by post or email, or hand-delivered to local addresses to save postage.

With postage and printing costs rising, members who are happy to receive their magazine by email save PCAS money – and you will see your magazine before copies arrive by post. Please let us know if you would like to receive Double Nine by email. You can always change your mind later.

Members should have received the June 2019 issue of Double Nine. If it has not arrived, please contact the Membership Secretary.
