Birthday trip to celebrate an 86th, a 21st and a 10th birthday (22 June 2013)
This was organised by Liese Fawcett, who asked invited me to put these kind comments on our website: Many thanks to the New Horizons Team for making our joint birthday celebrations so memorable.  We had  a very enjoyable, gentle introduction to life on a canal and learned how to operate the lock gates.  Thank you for being so welcoming and keep up your good work; it is much appreciated!

Hull RAFA trip to Gardham Lock (15 June 2013)
Setting off a bit late helped to avoid a heavy shower and the weather became dry and sunny before too long. Some very good steering by our guests this afternoon, and thanks to Ian Russell for organising this trip.

June 'Open Trip' to East Cottingwith (1 June 2013)
The plan was to visit the Ferry Boat Inn at Thorganby, but the water level below Cottingwith Lock was so high that the four gates were open when we arrived and the indicator board showed 'Do NOT proceed'. What a disappointment, but the weather was good and so was the company. The skipper is now aware that although proper supervision of passengers at Gardham Lock must be top priority, one should not be so preoccupied with safety that one forgets to put the boat in the lock before draining it. :-)

The second group was luckier with the weather and we welcome Ross as a new Junior Member of PCAS, who enjoyed steering the boat.
