Thornton Lock

Restoration of Thornton Lock has been done by PCAS volunteers working with the Canal & River Trust. The work has been founded by the PCAS Bicentenary Appeal, which has raised £250,000 for the restoration of this lock, Walbut Lock, dredging and provision of landing stages. Photos can be found on our Facebook pages.

The stone dams above and below the lock have yet to be removed and the stone will be used at Walbut Lock.
