No. 7 Swing-bridge

Immediately after the Melbourne Arm is No. 7 Swing-bridge. It allows access to the towpath from the village of Melbourne and is well used. This and other swing-bridges on the canal were replaced by fixed bridges when the canal was disused. The se swing-bridges were re-instated to allow boats to reach the Melbourne Arm. The bridge is normally kept closed and locked.
