BALSAM BASHING – PLEASE HELP

Himalayan Balsam is an imported invasive plant that causing a problem on the Pocklington Canal and other waterways. Please can you come along on one of the dates shown on the poster. These annual events are being organised by the Canal & River Trust and we hope that anyone happy to spend a couple of hours pulling up the plants before they flower and seed will come along. You don't have to be a member of PCAS to join in, though we hope that our members will join in.



The problem with Himalayan Balsam is that it spreads and takes over from our native plants. Here is a photo of the 'enemy' when it is. in flower.
