These Truxor amphibious boats are currently being used on the Pocklington Canal. One is set up to cut reeds and weed and the other collects it and deposits it on the bank. The work is being done by Aquatic Restorations for the Canal & River Trust. They are cutting the full navigable length of the canal.
PCAS volnteers supported by the Canal & River Trust have been busy cutting and pulling Himalayan Balsam, – an invasive weed that grows alongside the Pocklington Canal and other waterways. More has been achieved than ever before and more work will be needed next year.
